This chess tournament is open to all secondary students of all abilities.
The tournament will take place over 3 days and each player will play 5 matches.
Standard chess rules apply and each player will have a 5 minute timer.
There are 2 additional rules:
* once a chess piece has been moved and let go - the move cannot be undone
* 3 illegal moves played will result in losing the game
A win is awarded 1 point.
A loss is awarded 0 points.
An agreed draw or stalemate is awarded 0.5 points to each player.
